"Santa Maria Base, to make it simple, was established as soon as they found clues to something in the wall of that tower. Built for this exact day. Preparations for the upcoming procedure are underway and I'm starting to become nervous. Through thorough research, some of the brightest minds in the field, compiled all collected datasets into a project with the sole aim to: 'provoke' a 'reaction', as they say. We know these structures only appear as if they are long dead. Something still is at work there. I better check my gear so I'm prepped for an unexpected 'reaction' I may 'provoke'."
This was finished as one of the first of this third part of my Endeavours series. It's funny how creativity sometimes takes you by the hand and you go with the flow. Working on this one led to something else and that something else leads to... and so on. I liked the "Project Columbus" scene so much that I tried out what else could work for that scene. Basically a different angle and perspective. I'm a sucker for scale and I fell for it. Something I really enjoy in these scenes. It will become more personal soon. For this scene I basically reused the "Project Columbus" scene. Fixed some holes and built Santa Maria Base. This gave me the idea with those giant cables. Which had to be then included into already existing scenes. Resulting in some extra time needed to fix continuity errors. Creativity is pure chaos. In the end it's a slightly zoomed out version of "Project Columbus" with more scale and the reveal of Santa Maria Base.
